AYDP = A-Yay-Daw-Pone or အရေးတော်ပုံ
PURPOSE: To provide an alternative and tax-deductible option to help the Myanmar people affected by the military coup to survive and recover their lives. We can help support the CDM movement, fallen heroes, critical health care (including COVID victims), emergency aid and other assistance.
WHO WE ARE: We are the officers of a Buddhist monastery, namely “Bodhimandaing Dhamma Center (BMDC)” in Lakeland. The monastery is considered by the US Internal Revenue Service as a non-profit 501c(3) religious/charitable organization (EIN: 75-2984329). We do not charge any administrative fees to collect donations. Our labor is also free because we are all volunteers and have no paid staff. 100% of the donations will be used only for the PURPOSE above.
HOW YOU CAN DONATE: We have set up a special purpose and restricted account with SunTrust bank. For our security reasons, the account number is no longer posted here. Please call Daniel Nay Hlaing at (904) 803-4570 if you want to deposit your donation directly into the bank account. Alternatively, you can send by Zelle using the same phone number above or send a check payable to BMDC (Memo: For AYDP) and mail to 11633 Hampton Park Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32256. If you would like a receipt, please provide a phone number or an email address (for an electronic copy), or a mailing address (for a hard copy) via text to the same number above.
HOW WILL DONATIONS BE SENT TO MYANMAR: For their security reasons, we are not able to release the “sources and methods”, i.e., details of donation receivers in Myanmar at this time but we will, in due course of time. We are constantly exploring ways to transfer the donations using the most reliable source(s) and the most effective distribution (i.e., destined to the people or institutions of the greatest need). If we cannot find reliable sources (given the current situation in Myanmar), we may hold the donations temporarily until the situation changes or another opportunity arises.
